Services We Offer
At Arlington Dentistry, we offer a wide range general dentistry services. Ranging from diagnostic and preventative procedures up to major procedures such as rotary endodontics and implants, we can surely take care of most dental needs.
Diagnostic & Preventive Services
Routine dental checkups are key to good oral hygiene and are the best way to detect problems at their earliest stages. Early detection and treatment save unnecessary discomfort, time, and money. The American Dental Association recommends biannual checkups, but certain factors can lead to the necessity of more frequent visits. To have a healthy mouth and beautiful smile, it is also very important that you take good care of your teeth and mouth. Because we believe that a healthy mouth starts at home, we are dedicated to educating our patients about proper tooth care. Regular brushing, flossing, and rinsing with antibacterial rinse are vital for good dental health.
We will work together with you to develop a program to prevent the onset, progress, and recurrence of oral and dental diseases. We want to help you protect your smile from damage caused by tooth decay, periodontal disease, and other damaging dental conditions. We offer a number of preventive dental treatments to help keep your mouth healthy, including dental cleanings and sealants.
At Arlington Dentistry, we provide the following dental services: crowns and bridges, dentures and partials, dental implants, periodontal disease treatment, root canals, and fillings.
We routinely recommend dental sealants, particularly to children between the ages of 6 and 12. We also sometimes recommend this service to adults whose teeth are prone to decay or for teeth that have not been restored or suffered from decay in the past. Dental sealants are thin plastic coatings applied to the biting surface of the teeth. They can help to prevent tooth decay by blocking out bacteria and food debris. Dental sealants are easily applied in one visit; the application is pain-free and lasts several years.
Your comfort is our priority. We strive to provide an environment that is as comfortable as possible so you can be truly at ease. We offer amenities such as headphones, pillows, lip balm, and bottled water; treatment options, including oral sedation and nitrous oxide, will help make your experience a positive one.
Cosmetic & Elective Services
Arlington Dentistry is your partner for affordable, high-quality teeth whitening solutions. Our goal is to help restore the natural beauty of your smile through simple procedures that work. Teeth whitening is one of the most popular cosmetic dentistry services available today. The procedure is easy, and the results are long lasting when coupled with proper care and maintenance. Optimal results are possible through either in-office bleaching or our take-home whitening kits. These are the two most popular solutions for addressing minor staining and discoloration. Please schedule a consultation to go over your whiting options as well as pricing.
BOTOX is a specialized medicine, approved by the FDA, that is gently injected into the muscles of the face to improve fine lines and wrinkles. At Arlington Dentistry, we are committed to helping your smile look its best. Utilizing BOTOX and other dermal fillers allows us to help you achieve a more radiant, youthful appearance to complete your smile transformation
Many people, particularly infants, suffer from tongue ties and lip ties. They are genetic abnormalities that can range from very minimal to severe. Tongue ties and lip ties occur when the frenum (a fold of tissue in the mouth) restricts motion of the lip or tongue. To correct lip and/or tongue ties, we can perform a frenectomy, which is a common procedure that removes one or more of these folds from the lip or tongue. This procedure is safe for both children and adults and can be done with a traditional blade or a laser. The laser method can typically be completed in just minutes, and induces much less bleeding, reduces the need for stitches, minimizes post-operative discomfort, and promotes a faster recovery time. Dr. Withrow prefers using the laser for this procedure and has the ability to complete this procedure in our comfortable office environment.

Do you experience high levels of anxiety when visiting the dentist? Dr. Withrow and her staff work with patients to alleviate their anxiety in a variety of ways, including educating them on what to expect with each dental treatment or procedure. Your dental care is provided in a gentle, compassionate manner with your confidence and comfort in mind. If, however, you prefer to feel completely relaxed during your dental treatment or procedure, we can administer oral sedation. Oral sedation involves the administration of drugs that calm patients, creating a drowsy, sleep-like state. Patients are still conscious, can breathe on their own, and simply be able to respond to questions. This type of sedation requires a consultation prior to your procedure to discuss your medical history and sedation options to determine which best suits your unique needs and dental health.
A misaligned smile can create problems with your jaw, chewing difficulties, wear and tear on tooth enamel, and can make maintaining proper dental hygiene a chore. ClearCorrect and Invisalign are two possible solutions we can provide for problems you may have with crowded or spaced teeth, overbites, underbites, or crooked (turned) teeth. Both of these options use a series of clear, custom-fit, removable plastic aligners to gradually and gently shift your teeth into place. In most cases, they are a preferable alternative to traditional metal braces. We can discuss these options with you to help you decide which appliance will best suit your alignment needs.
Minor Procedures
Natural teeth often require repairs due to decay, fracture, and wear. Dental crowns and bridges are two restorative dentistry options that we use to greatly improve the appearance and function of your smile. Crowns are used to strengthen a tooth, protect weak teeth from breaking, cover dental implants, and restore a broken tooth. Bridges are used to bridge the gap created by one or more missing teeth. We take the utmost care in making sure that we create your crowns and bridges to match the color, height, texture, and overall appearance of your teeth.
Dr. Withrow may recommend dentures if you have multiple missing teeth. We offer both full and partial dentures. If most or all of your teeth are diseased or missing, a full denture set may be the best for you. This set is removable, will rest atop your gums, and must be removed daily for cleaning. If you have most of your teeth and they are in good health, a partial may be your best option. A partial denture consists of replacement teeth attached to a gum-colored base. Teeth may or may not be in a row. The prosthetic either fits into the mouth via suction, denture adhesive, or in the case of a fixed bridge, clips. We want you to be happy with your dentures, so we are here to help you decide what will work best for you.
Periodontal disease, or gum disease, is a bacterial infection of the gums and tissues that support your teeth. It is caused most often by the build-up of plaque and tartar when teeth are not routinely brushed and flossed. Periodontal disease is one of the top reasons for tooth loss in adults, and because it is virtually pain-free, many patients do not know they have it. The key is to discover gum disease early and begin treatment before complicated issues arise. During each regular checkup, we will check for signs of periodontal disease by measuring the space between your teeth and gums. Treatment will depend on the severity of the disease. It is our goal to restore your oral health and halt the progress of gum disease. For more information on periodontal treatment, we welcome you to call or visit our office soon.
Oral cancer has become the sixth deadliest cancer in the world. In fact, oral cancer claims the life of one American every hour, and oral cancer isn’t limited to just older people or alcohol and tobacco users. That’s why we provide detection and screening methods for this disease.
Major Procedures
We know dental emergencies can arise. Severe toothaches, broken or cracked teeth, loss of permanent tooth, or an object caught between teeth are some of the common dental emergencies we treat. We are here to help you at any time, on any day. When your dental health is at risk, we’ll do everything we can to make sure you’re treated as soon as possible. If you experience a dental emergency, do not hesitate to call. If you need immediate attention after hours, select our emergency option, and our on-call staff member will help you. In an extreme emergency, you should call 911 or go to a hospital emergency room.
Dental implants are an effective way to replace missing teeth. They are designed to provide a foundation for replacement teeth that look, feel, and function like natural teeth, and they are a great alternative to wearing removable partial or complete dentures because they are permanent. Dr. Withrow has the training and experience to help determine if you are a candidate for dental implants.
At Arlington Dental, we are proud to offer our community a number of restorative dental services to return your smile to good health and function following damage, decay, injury, or trauma. We understand that your oral health and appearance play a large role in your overall well-being, as well as your self-confidence, and we work hard to ensure that your smile is healthy and beautiful. Whether you need a filling, a crown or bridge, implants, root canal therapy, or gum disease or gingivitis treatment, you can rest assured that you will receive only the best treatment from Dr. Withrow and her highly trained staff.
If you have a tooth that is infected, broken, or has a deep cavity, we can treat it by performing a procedure called a root canal. A root canal is one of the most common dental procedures, involving the removal of diseased or damaged nerves of a tooth. It is a simple treatment that can save your natural teeth and prevent the need of dental implants or bridges. Dr. Withrow is an expert in root canal therapy and strives to make it completely comfortable for her patients.
Some times it is necessary for treatment to be performed in a hospital setting under general anesthesia. Dr. Withrow has privileges at Huntsville Hospital and performs dental treatment in a hospital setting several times each month. This treatment option is ideal for young children, elderly patients, or those with disabilities and is often covered completely by insurance. If you are interested in this option, please schedule a consult or ask about this service at your next dental cleaning.
